I Can Smile Again!
A Syrian refugee family of eight had been living in one room of a rundown apartment with two other refugee families. It was a difficult situation as all had to share the same kitchen and bathrooms. Subsequently conflicts arose. Their room in which they resided was about four meters by four meters, a mother with seven children. Thanks to the sponsorship of friends from abroad (Edinburgh Cares / World Cares), we were able to find them a small two bedroom apartment in a nearby area, where they could at least have a place to stay on their own. She broke out in tears recently when she had to go back and visit her previous home.
